Rochelle Heubach

March 28, 1939 — November 20, 2024
With profound sadness, the family of Rochelle Brooks Heubach announces her unexpected passing on the morning of November 20, 2024, at the age of 85. A lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, Rochelle entered her eternal rest, reuniting with her Creator and her beloved husband of 63 years, Ronald Heubach. Rochelle grew up on Rochelle Street (named after her by her father), where she lived until her passing. She graduated from Theodore High School in 1958, where she was honored as both Miss Theodore High School and Class Sweetheart. She also served as an Azalea Trail Maid, escorted by her future husband, Ronald. Their bond was a storybook romance that blossomed into a marriage filled with love, faith, and unwavering partnership. A devoted wife and mother, Rochelle dedicated her life to her family. She operated a daycare from her home, lovingly caring for countless children, and later co-founded R & R Photography with her husband, a successful business they ran together for 30 years. Rochelle's zest for life was evident in her love of travel, whether to the beach or the mountains, and in the special activities she planned for her grandchildren, whom she affectionately called her "angels." Rochelle was a woman of deep faith, selflessness, and unconditional love. Her legacy is cherished by her sisters, Paulette Kendrick (Rick) and Stephanie Brooks; her sister-in-law, Becky Brooks; and her five children: Robin Rivers (Ernie), Ricky Heubach (Kim), Rhonda Heubach, Roland Heubach, and Russell Heubach. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren: Britni Bolton (Phil), Bronwyn Leslie, Chasity Miniard (Nick), Matthew Leslie, Ethan Leslie, Caison Heubach (Lainey), Ashlyn Heindel (Austin), Coalbree Heubach, and Drake Heubach as well as seven great-grandchildren: Christian, William, Norah, Dawsyn, Grayson, August, and Livingston, who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts. Rochelle was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her parents, Walter and Helen Brooks; her brothers, Bobby and Maurice; and her great-grandchildren, Anderson, Gunner, and her "angel babies." In the words of her family: "We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our dear, beautiful mother. She was the heart of our family, a source of strength and inspiration. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever." A celebration of Rochelle's life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service to honor her memory. May Rochelle rest in eternal peace.
