Garden of Hiram Abif

Garden of Hiram Abif

The Garden of Hiram Abif was established as a designated area for members in good standing of the fraternal order of Free & Accepted Masons and their families. The cemetery founder, Mr. Charles J. Miller, was an active member of several Masonic organizations, and through his contacts determined that there was a genuine desire among members for a Masonic garden.  It is one of the few gardens in the cemetery that does not depict events in Christ’s life.  The name “Hiram Abif” is a significant name in Freemasonry.  The feature in this section is a representation of the Blue Lodge symbol comprised of a compass, a square, and the letter “G.”
